Title: Project Learning Tree: The Changing Forests: Forest Ecology
Description of Resource: This high school module (part of Project Learning Tree's (PLT) overall curriculum) encourages students to explore and learn about forest ecosystems through hands-on discovery and experimentation. Their investigations will help them appreciate the diversity of life in forests, understanding the interdependencies of such forest life, and develop an awareness of the importance of forests in our daily lives. They will also learn about the variety of professionals and practices involved in managing forests, from small urban parks to large national forests. PLT focuses on developing student's critical thinking skills through interdisciplinary theme activities. This book is made available only by attending a PLT instructional workshop.
