Title: Where Are All the Trees? A Minnesota Primer and Discovery Guide
Description of Resource: A series of activities provide opportunities to experience, explore, and expand knowledge about trees. Within each subject area, activities are grouped primary, intermediate, and advanced to correspond with grade levels K-9. Subjects contained in this curriculum begin with What is a tree?, Different Kinds of Trees, What is a forest?, Minnesota Trees, and People and Trees Living Together. Each subject unit is followed by several hands-on activities from building a human tree, going on a scavenger hunt, recipe for a forest, taking a walk in the woods, and building a city park or forest. In addition, each subject contains songs, games and a bibliography for additional resources.

The Minnesota Primer is designed to provide the user with a sense of the potential of Minnesota Forest, and introduce a forest as a renewable resource. The introduction contains information on Why Trees? Each subsequent chapter covers topics such as tree anatomy, forest and the food web, history of Minnesota forests, people and Minnesota forests, and current uses of Minnesota forests. In addition, the book contains "fun facts!" throughout with information about Minnesota forests.
