Title: Mysteries of the Boreal Forest
Description of Resource: An educational resource tool for teachers that will stimulate the interest of students in stewardship of their forest resources and given them a broad understanding of the issues involved in resource management. This manual is divided into two sections: 1) science and technology topics for grades 3 to 5, and 2) history and geography topics for grades 6-8. Each section contains a series of questions designed to encourage students to develop and test an hypothesis. The focus is on the Lake Abitibi Region; the lessons, however, are applicable throughout the boreal forest. This publication is compatible with the current Ontario school curriculum.
